Little Elements is a class designed for our younger students between the ages of 3 - 5 year olds. Our program features an introduction to music where students play games and participate in rhythm exercises with song, dance, and hand percussion. These interactive activities promote the foundational skills for their future musical growth. Our classes can be one-on-one or a group of up to five.

• Geoff Murfitt

  Geoff is a multidisciplinary musician and educator with more than 30 years of experience spanning professional performance, recording, private instruction, and group music programs. As a professional touring and recording bassist, he has performed nationally and internationally across a wide range of genres, venues, festivals, and recording environments. His career has included performing alongside acclaimed artists such as Grammy Award winner Joe Louis Walker, Mario Reyes of the Gipsy Kings, Boston Music Award winner Gracie Curran, as well as many regional and nationally recognized artists. Geoff offers private lessons in guitar, bass, and ukulele to students of all ages. His teaching combines technique, music theory, and performance while tailoring lessons to each student's interests and goals. Whether working with a beginner building a strong foundation or a more experienced player looking to develop their technique, Geoff focuses on making learning enjoyable and helping students become more confident in their playing. As a working musician, Geoff knows that performing at a high level is about more than technique. Listening, preparation, adaptability, and learning how to work with others are all part of becoming a well-rounded musician. He brings that real-world experience into his lessons and enjoys helping students discover what makes music meaningful and exciting to them. For Geoff, teaching is an opportunity to share his love of music, help students find their own voice, and encourage them to keep growing as musicians. He is passionate about helping students develop a lasting connection to their instrument and the music they love.

• Mikk Weinbeck

  Mikk is a graduate from UMass Lowell with a bachelors in Music Studies (Education). They teach Voice, Flute and a Toddler Class: Little Elements at our school. Mikk is in numerous ensembles, such as The Contemporaries (a Somerville-based a cappella group), the Merrimack Valley Ringers (a professional handbell ensemble based in Chelmsford, MA), and the UMass Lowell Wind Ensemble. They also likes to create their own music through acoustic guitar and vocals. They are an equal-opportunity teacher who shows students how to sing / play with compassion and confidence in themselves. Mikk specializes in Classical, Pop, Musical Theatre, and Jazz vocals, but can help any singer with any genre when asked. In their free time, they love to travel, spend time creating jewelry and their own personal fashion, and practicing yoga. Contact Mikk
