Sax Lessons

Sax lessons are now offered at Music Elements with Marlena Williams

Education:

• Studied saxophone from elementary school to high school
• Currently enrolled as a music education major at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell
• Has studied with Ken Reid, Sheri Brown, and Jeff Taylor
• Proficient in jazz and classical saxophone playing

Experience:

• Has taught children from elementary to high school during ensembles and group lessons
• Played with state jazz bands, and competitions
• Member of the Music Educators National Conference, and the University Concert Band

Educational Goals:

• Produce a well-supported and musical tone
• Be able to establish good techniques in playing
• Developing a healthy embouchure
• Appropriate posture
• Strong breath support
• Variety in playing
• Overall love of the instrument!
